Most vases are made to hold flowers. This one holds attention.
Monolith No.1 is a sculptural piece designed to sit with presence. The form is restrained, but the surface tells its own story. Soft marbling moves through each piece, shifting and settling as it’s cast, so no two are ever the same.
It’s designed for a single stem, but it doesn’t depend on one. Placed on a shelf, bedside, or table, it holds its own without needing anything added.
There’s a weight to it that feels grounding in the hand, balanced by a surface that catches the light in a subtle, shifting way. The beeswax finish brings out the depth of the material, leaving a smooth, tactile feel that continues to develop over time.
This is the kind of object you place once, and keep noticing.

From the Guseli Design Studio
Each piece begins in the studio as a study of form, weight and balance.
Guseli Design explores sculptural objects through small, iterative releases, where each collection builds on the last. The process is hands-on and deliberate, allowing subtle shifts in proportion and surface to emerge over time.
Working between concept and material, the studio brings together design and technical precision to create objects that feel resolved, tactile and enduring.
No two pieces are identical. Variations in pattern and tone are part of the process, giving each object its own presence.
Made in Small Batches
Each release is produced in limited numbers, allowing time and attention to be given to every piece.
Guseli Design
Guseli Design is a collaborative studio led by artist–designer Kim Guseli, working alongside studio design engineer Stefano Guseli.
The work explores weight, proportion and permanence through small, iterative collections. Each piece begins as a study of form, developed through a hands-on process that balances sculptural intention with technical precision.
Stefano works alongside Kim to shape the structural language of each piece, refining proportion, balance and detail so that each object feels resolved and enduring.
Every piece is cast and finished in the studio, where subtle variations in pattern and tone emerge naturally. No two are ever identical, giving each object its own presence within the collection.
Rather than mass production, the focus remains on refinement, consistency and material quality across each edition.
